Product Demo: Digital Care Journey for Oncology (Cancer Care)

July 15, 2025

Each week, è is highlighting how our platform supports patients and care teams for specific surgical procedures or health conditions.

Our solution uses a patient’s own smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer to guide them with health system-specific, step-by-step guidance via reminders, education and symptom monitoring.

This week’s spotlight: Oncology (Cancer Care).

Highlights from the Oncology (Cancer Care) journey demo

Personalized Onboarding for Cancer Treatment

  • Patients begin by tailoring their program to match their cancer type and treatment plan (e.g. radiation, chemotherapy, etc.)
  • Visual cues and follow-up questions ensure patients accurately input their treatment details (e.g. breast radiation)
  • Supports combination therapy setups, for example: chemotherapy alongside radiation

Interactive Education & Support Tools

  • Homepage includes interactive educational elements and condition-specific resources
  • Built-in assessments such as FACT, ESAS, and Cancer Fatigue Scale to monitor well-being and quality of life
  • To-do lists prompt preparation for treatment, appointment reminders, and behavior changes with learn-why and learn-how explanations

Comprehensive Resource Library

  • Easily accessible library of topics: types of cancer treatments, symptom management, nutrition, emotional support, survivorship, and long-term care
  • Includes medication-specific content (e.g. Emend/Aprepitant), anti-nausea guidance, and when to call the care team
  • Videos and illustrations provide additional learning options for patients

Symptom and Adverse Event Monitoring

  • Patients track symptoms like pain, fatigue, anxiety, and treatment side effects (e.g. mouth sores, nausea)
  • Lifestyle questions reinforce positive behaviors such as sleep, exercise, and hydration
  • Tailored self-care tips, provider alerts, and emergency recommendations based on responses
  • Progress charts help patients monitor trends over time
  • Care team can remotely monitor patient symptoms

Why It Matters

Cancer care is deeply personal and can be physically and emotionally overwhelming. Patients face complex treatment regimens, side effects, and a flood of information – often outside the comfort of clinical settings. With è’s Oncology Care Plan, patients receive continuous, personalized guidance that evolves with them throughout treatment and recovery. At the same time, care teams gain real-time insights into how patients are doing, allowing for earlier intervention and better outcomes. It's digital support that ensures no one goes through cancer care alone.
